CONFESSIONS OF A JESUS FREAK

I have needed this so bad for about the last week or so.  I am here to tell you that I have been just an emotional wreck lately.  Now, aside from all of the pregnancy hormones; I think I just feel overly stressed or frustrated about life in general.  I am usually a very "happy about life" type of person... but lately trying to keep up with being a pregnant working mommy, my son going through a "lying" spell, and my daughter being a whine butt about everything; has literally just broken my spirits.  One of the biggest things that the Bible teaches us is to reach out to the Lord and ask for mercy in PRAYER. Such

"Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked."--- PSALMS 84:10 It has literally taken me sense the last time I blogged to figure out what I wanted to talk about.  There are so many ideas and situations that are not only in my mind to talk about but also in my heart. Sometimes I find it really difficult to take bits and pieces from each idea and just mesh it all together....but here we are. In the past, I had always considered myself a Christian, whether I thought I was Catholic or even Baptist. There are so many denominations around these days. No matter what the  denomination ...we all believe there is "a God".  But I was never really ever involved with a church.  So here lately I have wanting to be more involved at the church that my family and I attend, so we have been able to get what is called a "Cell" or Bible Study, if you will

1 PETER 3:13-17 13 Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? 14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats [ a ] ; do not be frightened.” [ b ] 15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. 17 For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.     This passage was not written to the nonbelievers, it was written specially for "believers" who act WITHOUT FAITH or in BAD FAITH. I believe I have mentioned this before but, just as a child is punished by its father....as are we by God.  We are his children. If we are acting out of bad faith he is going to punish us for already knowing better.  Ofte

Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will".  ROMANS 12:2 >> Nothing says it better than this passage.  I am a person who has ALWAYS been so self conscious about my physical appearance.  Now keep in mind that the only time I have ever been under a size 10 was in middle school. I just have never been "the skinny girl".  And although I grew up in a home where I was always given praise about being beautiful and what not... in my mind that has never been the case.  My weight has been such a struggle for me for as long as I can remember.  If I'm not thinking about the "important things" in life... I can guarantee you that I will always be thinking about my weight.  Its like a disease that I can't get rid of.  This is a big issue that I keep asking God to help me with.  I pray that God help me thro

JONAH 2:1-10 >> I am pretty sure that we are all familiar with Jonah and the "big fish" that swallowed him.  Well God had called to Jonah to go and preach, but Jonah didn't want to because he was sort of a nationalist if you would. He didn't want to go to the people -whom he was not very fond of- and "spread the good news".  So he tried to run away from God's calling.  But what he didn't know and what so many of don't realize is that, once God has called upon you to do his work-there is NO ESCAPE.  We love the Lord, but sometimes we are just so rebellious at times, we do what ever it is that we want to do. But in reality we can not hide anything from HIM. Nothing escapes his site.  Another good lesson that is taught in the book of Jonah is that we should be able to teach the word of God in all parts, without being ashamed.  You never know when someone is waiting for THOSE PERFECT WORDS OF LIFE that could possibly save them from all their p

--ACTS 4:31-- >> After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were filled with the Holy Spirit, and spoke the word of God boldly.<< (niv).    Praying is our absolute communication with God.  I don't think that I can even count the times when I would be completely to the point of a nervous break down and I used to just sit and cry all hours of the day.  I would be left there sitting, sulking, and feeling sorry for  myself, and no one else can cry for me.  Needless to say that the outcome of that situation would simple result in a raging MIGRAINE from all of the crying and not to mention that the problems that I had to began with were still there.  So, lately instead of feeling sorry for myself I actually have the option of doing something about it. --JAMES 4:10-- >> Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will lift you up.<< (niv)    I speak personally when I say that from being able to open up to God and talking with him as

SO BADLY TRYING TO CHANGE, ALL OF MY IMPERFECTIONS.... I MUST ADMIT IT'S HARDER THAN, I WOULD HAVE EVER THOUGHT.... BUT IT'S NOT SOMETHING THAT IS TAUGHT.... CHANGES TAKE TIME AND ARE, HORRIBLY HARD TO ACCOMPLISH.... THE HARDEST PART IS  A MIND GAME, ONLY WAITING TO BE TAMED..... CHANGES ARE HARD, BUT NEVER IMPOSSIBLE.... SO IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES, THAN DO THE UNTHINKABLE..... Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you Lord once more for this wonderful day...whether it bring happiness, or trials and tribulation...I give you thanks. Each day you give me life to see all of the glorious blessing that surround me...Thank you!! Father in the name of your beloved son Jesus Christ I pray that you watch over all my family, myself , your children, and all those who so desperately need your guidence. Lord keep us from evil. Christianity equals ...HARD ROAD        sin equals....EASY PATH Believers should know that the Bible is God's words and that the Lord is REAL AND ALIVE!!! We dont just go looking for God. He comes looking for the sheep that have gone astray when he is reay for them (when his mercy falls upon you). There is no such thing as LUCK....but GOD'S WILL. God has chosen every person for a certain purpose from the time we were only tissue in our mother's wombs: He already knew what he had planned for us. We are all under his promises and just know that He ALWAYS complies to his promises.
