NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD

JONAH 2:1-10

>> I am pretty sure that we are all familiar with Jonah and the "big fish" that swallowed him.  Well God had called to Jonah to go and preach, but Jonah didn't want to because he was sort of a nationalist if you would. He didn't want to go to the people -whom he was not very fond of- and "spread the good news".  So he tried to run away from God's calling.  But what he didn't know and what so many of don't realize is that, once God has called upon you to do his work-there is NO ESCAPE.  We love the Lord, but sometimes we are just so rebellious at times, we do what ever it is that we want to do. But in reality we can not hide anything from HIM. Nothing escapes his site.  Another good lesson that is taught in the book of Jonah is that we should be able to teach the word of God in all parts, without being ashamed.  You never know when someone is waiting for THOSE PERFECT WORDS OF LIFE that could possibly save them from all their pain.  Don't try to hide from God when he is calling to you, or maybe you will be the next to end up in the belly of some big fish. :)  Don't ignore his calling, it may just be that something that really completes your life.  Do you feel like something is missing in your life???? 

>> Another thing that comes to mind with this book is that it is so unfortunate that we only call to God when we are in trouble, have problems, or really just when WE WANT something from him.  We keep asking him for things and promising him that we will be good children, and continue to fail him.  When we make promises to our Lord almighty, we should hold to them....HE DOES!!!! It is so important to always try and seek is presence, and for a change ...praise HIM for all that he does for YOU.... for all that you see with your two eyes, for all that you feel, hear, smell, think, taste... thank him for his mercy, power, love, and for giving you one more day of breathe. <3<3<3

WHAT IS IT THAT IS HOLDING YOU BACK-FROM DOING THE LORD'S DEEDS?????!!!!!!

I just have never been "the skinny girl".  And although I grew up in a home where I was always given praise about being beautiful and what not... in my mind that has never been the case.  My weight has been such a struggle for me for as long as I can remember.  If I'm not thinking about the "important things" in life... IN LIGHT OF NATIONAL PRAYER DAY

--ACTS 4:31-- >> After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were filled with the Holy Spirit, and spoke the word of God boldly.<< (niv).    Praying is our absolute communication with God.  I don't think that I can even count the times when I would be completely to the point of a nervous break down and I used to just sit and cry all hours of the day.  I would be left there sitting, sulking, and feeling sorry for  myself, and no one else can cry for me.  Needless to say that the outcome of that situation would simple result in a raging MIGRAINE from all of the crying and not to mention that the problems that I had to began with were still there.  So, lately instead of feeling sorry for myself I actually have the option of doing something about it. --JAMES 4:10-- >> Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will lift you up.<< (niv)    I speak personally when I say that from being able to open up to God and talking with him as
